Wine Touring in the Ribera del Douro

Burgos Province

Territorio Luthier

Located a couple of hours drive north of Marid, a few minutes outside of Aranda de Douro, in the Burgos province, you’ll find this small winery, Bodega Territorio Luthier, with an outstanding selection of limited production wines. They produce around 90,000 bottles a year, relying on grapes from more than 280 micro-vineyards 70% of them over 40 years old. The winery’s name was inspired by the essence of the luthier, the artisan who maintains an ancient craft, working with wood and string to create instruments capable of bringing joy to souls for centuries.

The winery was named Ribera del Duero’s Winemaker of the Year in November 2025 by Tim Atkin. The winemaker Fernando Ortiz was also named winemaker of the year 2025. Guín Peńín rated their Luthier Blanco de Guarda Reserva 2022, the best white wine in Ribera del Duero with 98 points, with the winery being the only winery in Spain with a rosé, white, and red wines scoring above 96 points.

Fernando Ortiz is the co-owner, together with Cristina Alonso.
